The Umbrella Academy season 3 is going to be back on Netflix soon. After a long wait and a season finale that ended with a cliffhanger, fans are very excited for the upcoming season of the Netflix Original. However, the one question they’ve been trying to speculate since 2019 is the mystery of The Sparrow Academy.

How did season 2 end?

Fans of the Netflix Original are used to twists and turns. But, season 2 of the show was a rollercoaster even they weren’t used to. Ben stopped Vanya from destroying the world. This, in turn, allowed her to help Harlan, who was, well, let’s say hanging by a thread. After a long tiring battle against The Handler and Lila, the siblings finally got to go home. They returned to The Umbrella Academy, only to find that The Sparrow Academy had taken over.

Now that students of The (former) Umbrella Academy are returning to Netflix on June 22, 2022, after two long years, the question remains as to which evil they will face this season.

Is The Sparrow Academy the villain in The Umbrella Academy season 3?

An interesting open plot to the ending of The Umbrella Academy season 2 that we will uncover in season 3 is- is The Sparrow Academy evil?

We know that Hargreeves forms The Sparrow Academy as a result of dissatisfaction after seeing The Umbrella Academy. This means that Hargreeves has put in a lot more effort to ensure that the former is better in every way. By extension, fans now know that The Sparrow Academy will have more powers than the siblings we see in The Umbrella Academy. And if first impressions mean anything, The Sparrow Academy is also very arrogant, possibly due to their superiority in training.

This could bring us a new set of villains with powers like we’ve never seen before in the series. Or, we will see a bunch of very interesting characters that are the stark opposite of The Umbrella Academy. This plot has not been explored in the comics either, increasing fans’ suspense more than ever.
