Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been given new titles of Prince and Princess of Wales. With new roles, there is a great responsibility on the shoulders of the future king and the queen consort. The Wales couple is also expected to play a crucial role in defining the image of the future of the monarchy. However, the royal expert Russell Myers is not happy with Kate Middleton and Prince William’s strategy as senior royal members. The major reason behind Prince William and Kate Middleton’s criticism in Jamaica was because of the nation’s plans of separating from the Commonwealth. Reminiscing about the incident, Russell Myers claimed that the Prince and Princess need to be on the front foot.

“They are going to have to get on the front foot and make sure that is top of the agenda. They always seem to be trying to catch up and didn’t get ahead of it. And it’s a massive issue,” the royal expert said while speaking on the podcast, Pod Save the King

Russell Myers further lauded King Charles III for always being one step ahead of the Commonwealth. The royal expert revealed that the monarch was aware of 14 realms that did not wish to continue their associations for a long time and the nature of the relationships is going to change.
