Peaky Blinders Season 6 has given fans a lot to be rejoiced about. We have had Tommy running his usual brilliance, Michael and Gina conspiring for something big, and a new character to hold our attention. But amidst all this, there came a scene in the latest episode that made us happier than ever. This Sunday’s episode of the sixth season of Peaky Blinders marked the return of fan-favorite Alfie Solomons. And trust us when we say that we loved every single second that we saw Tom Hardy as Alfie on the screen.

Ever since Tommy and Alfie first met during the events of the second season, fans have loved their frenemy chemistry. The character of Solomons has been anything but predictable, and that is precisely the reason fans love him so much. This meeting in the second episode of Peaky Blinders Season 6 was just another Tommy-Alfie meeting. And that is exactly why we need to talk about it, because like always, it was beautiful.

Well, it was rather surprising to be re-introduced to Alfie in the way it happened. We see Tommy walking into an old alley in the cellars beneath Camden Town, to the music of “Nessun Dorma”. The red filters used to shoot the scene actually did justice to the hell metaphor that we have been hearing about this season. Then comes the time to face one man who is just the right elixir of funny and dangerous: Alfie Solomons. In the very first dialogue, we see Alfie’s signature thought process, where he says, “I always thought that opera was fat people just f**king shouting.”

He also reveals how he is planning to write his own opera and is just missing the one last act. It is clear that something has happened to Alfie, which is why he never even went out to take revenge for his uncle’s murder in Boston. Well, luckily, Tommy is there to give him the final act as well as a chance to take back Boston.

Tommy is playing a really dangerous game, and Alfie might make things worse

We see Tommy playing two different cards in the second episode of season 6. Firstly, he offers to sell opium to Alfie Solomons, i.e., the Jews. And secondly, he is planning to establish a business partnership with Jack Nelson by selling the same opium. Well, even though we know Tommy is a man with great wit, it feels like he is inviting trouble for himself. He can’t clearly sell the same opium to two different parties, especially because the said parties are clear adversaries to each other.

Jack Nelson is without a doubt a well-connected man, and someone that Tommy needs to be worried about. However, that in no way means that Alfie can be taken lightly. We have seen him go to really great lengths when it comes to business and his own fortunes. Hence, we hope Tommy is ready for what may come his way because as friendly as Alfie may appear, the guy is just a devil who jokes a lot.
