The Net-flop has happened again! This time, the Elite Way School had to close its doors on the streaming giant– perhaps because it could not get as many admissions as Netflix expected from the institution. By admission, we here mean reception, and by the institution, we allude to the Spanish show, Rebelde. If we look at the broader scenario right now, Hollywood and the entire entertainment industry itself are going through a rough time as the Writers Guild of America has its tools down.

The joint association is apparently protesting their work conditions and the looming threat that is impending upon their career in the name of Artificial Intelligence. Amidst all this, Netflix, according to its well-developed habit, has canceled the rebooted Mexican show. Although the streaming giant has not commented on the same, Rebelde’s main character, Estéban, played by Sergio Mayer Mori, had a choice few words to say. Mori confirmed the news to Hola Mexico.

He reportedly stated that if it were up to him, he would certainly do the third, fourth, and fifth seasons. However, “It was Netflix, it was the producers who said: thanks for everything guys, there will be no third season.” The news evidently comes as a shock to the viewers and the fans of the show who have expressed their grief in the wake of the show’s cancellation.

Fans once again accuse Netflix robbing them of their favorite show, while writers’ strike demands its rights

While the strikers accuse these OTT platforms of abusing “mini rooms” wherein they expect a few writers to compose the script over a compressed timeline. The twitterati accuse Netflix of causing them a “heartbreak.”

Some also ask Netflix why would they do it to the fans.

Others express their sorrow with crying GIFs and pleading the streaming giant to bring it back.

Some also expressed their concern that they will not get to see a certain scene with a certain character.

Meanwhile, others just appear to be enraged!

One fan also confessed that they predicted this fate but are still “sad and disappointed.”

For those who are not aware, the two season Netflix show is a sequel to the Mexican tele novella of the same name. Directed by Santiago Limón, it was the fifth version of the series and follows a group of students as they navigate through sexuality, friendships, rivalries, and a lot more.
