After its first very successful season that competed with Squid Game, Netflix’s biggest launch ever, fans are looking forward to Alice in Borderland season 2. Will there be a change in the cast?

The majority of the supporting characters died in the first season. But, we can expect to see them again in the form of flashbacks or, better yet, plot twists. These characters can include Keita Machida (Daikichi Karube), Yūki Morinaga (Chōta Segawa), Nobuaki Kaneko (Takeru Danma/Hatter), Kina Yazaki (Momoka Inoue), Shuntarō Yanagi (Takatora Samura/Last Boss), and Mizuki Yoshida (Asahi Kujō).

Apart from them, fans are expecting to see Kento Yamazaki (Ryōhei Arisu) and Tao Tsuchiya (Yuzuha Usagi) Aya Asahina (Hikari Kuina), Nijirō Murakami (Shuntarō Chishiya), Riisa Naka (Mira Kano) and Sho Aoyagi (Aguni Morizono) reprising their roles in season 2 of the Netflix Original.

Alice in Borderland season 2: release date and trailer

Netflix released Alice in Borderland on December 10, 2020. The series wasn’t unsuccessful, but it didn’t see its best days right after the release, either. However, Netflix had confirmed Alice in Borderland season 2 without confirming a release date or window within 2 weeks of its arrival on the platform.

It was during September 2020 that Alice in Borderland peaked in popularity. Squid Game took over the entertainment industry in mid-2020. As a result, fans wanted something similar to satiate their dystopian thriller cravings, and they found Alice in Borderland. As of now, all we know is that the second season will be released in December 2022. This is exactly two years after we saw the first one on Netflix. With a release date far from now, Netflix hasn’t released a trailer of Alice in Borderland season 2 yet.

While this might be disappointing to fans who expected it to come out sooner, all we can say is that it will be worth the wait, considering the critical acclaim Alice in Borderland season 1 received.
