For a long time now, any news surrounding Henry Cavill’s The Witcher has been a little surprising. It will be the last season for the British actor to play the incredible role of Geralt. While fans along with his co-stars have expressed their feelings about his departure, the official YouTube channel of the show has been doing something else. Reportedly, they are moving all the past videos of the show to general Netflix channels. Though it is uncertain to determine the purpose behind this move, it sure is shocking news for fans.

On one hand, the 40-year-old actor’s pictures from the set made fans cry while on the other hand, shifting of these past videos, of course, starring Cavill as Geralt left fans confused and curious. Nevertheless, fans expressed their anger, saying the showrunner was against fans of the source material. Others said The Witcher should have ended when the Enola Holmes actor decided to part ways.

Although the showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, once talked about the option of ending the show.

However, in her interview with Total Film Magazine, the showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich revealed they could have ended the show with Cavill’s departure. The production members decided against that as there were still many stories left to tell.

Now, after the exit of the fan-favorite star, Liam Hemsworth will have to keep up with fans’ expectations. Talking about the takeover of the role, Hissrich expressed her concerns. But she was positive about Hemsworth’s energy and his excitement about the role.
