The whole world is waiting or Adam to return to their screens with his sports drama film Hustle which releases on 3rd June. However, die-hard Sandler fans could not wait that long. That’s why they have been watching an old classic of the actors.
For almost three weeks now, Happy Gilmore, which was first released in 1996, has been trending on Netflix’s top 10 charts.
What’s the film about?
In Happy Gilmore, a man with a harsh, aggressive core and a surprisingly soft center, Adam Sandler stars in one of his funniest performances. Gilmore is forced to come up with $270,000 after learning that his grandma has lost her home owing to unpaid taxes.
Gilmore can’t skate worth a penny, despite the insane hockey player’s thundering slap shot, and so looks for other ways to generate money for his adored grandma. Happy rises through the ranks of the golf circuit under the coaching of “Chubbs,” an ex-pro golfer who lost his hand to an alligator.
Even after almost 26 years, the film remains a great watch for the whole family and is a film you should definitely check out.
