Ahead of ‘Enola Holmes 2’, Revisit a Game of ‘Riddle Me This’ Between Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill
Granted, Stranger Things was the breakout role for the amazing Millie Bobby Brown, but her performance in Enola Holmes also received immense love and praise. Alongside Brown, the film also starred familiar names like Helena Bonham Carter, Henry Cavill, and Sam Claflin. Instead of diminishing in their presence, the young actress held her own and even stood out. Her portrayal of the fast-talking, fourth-wall-breaking young detective and the youngest of the Holmes family will forever be etched in our hearts.
The original film even brought together three alumni from Netflix’s flagship shows; The Witcher, Peaky Blinders, and Stranger Things. Back in 2020, the stars were riding the high of the first film’s success. That is when the Holmes siblings took some time out to blow off steam by playing a fun game. Let us see how it went down.

Millie Bobby Brown posed riddles to Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin
Any detective film always comprises a series of clues and riddles that slowly unravel, leading to the ultimate revelation. Enola Holmes was no different. Channeling the core spirit and ethos of the film, Netflix uploaded a video with the Holmes siblings enjoying a game of ‘Riddle me this.’ While Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin attempted to crack the riddles, Millie Bobby Brown assumed the role of quiz master. The first enigma posed went something like this.
“What comes once in a minute, twice in a moment, but never in a thousand years?”
Straight off the back, the question stumped the on-screen brothers. While Peaky Blinder‘s Claflin admitted to being “bad at riddles“, Cavill gave the wrong answer, “a bus.” The inter-cuts from the film introduced into the video made it even more hilarious. Finally, it was Millie’s extremely funny over pronouncing of the question that aided Cavill. He guessed the correct answer, which was “M, the letter M.” Then, came the second mystery
“What has many keys, but can’t even open a single lock?”
Unsurprisingly, there were a bunch of failed attempts, including “the ocean, canal,” and more. Brown even accidentally gave a hit by saying “it is useless.” Ultimately, Claflin responded with “piano” while The Witcher star guessed “keyboard.” Granted, Sam won the point there, but perhaps Henry was also technically on the right track.
