After Superman, The Witcher 3: Next Gen Might Have a Surprise for Henry Cavill
It has been more than seven years since the original The Witcher game was released. In the history of geek gaming, Geralt of Rivia is one of the most recognizable characters in video games. The franchise gained such momentum that it now has a whole Netflix series adaptation under the same name. The Geek nerds and movie freaks had one of the greatest gains of all time. And while the series is doomed now, this year brings good news for our gamers, especially for Henry Cavill fans.

The new game update for The Witcher has some Henry Cavill connections
The game developers at CD Projekt RED have dropped a special Easter egg dedicated to the one and only Henry Cavill. Comic Book confirmed the same in its latest publication. This comes as an homage to one of the biggest fans of the game series. Unfortunately, the fourth installment of Netflix is not retaining him in the same. Philipp Weber, Acting Narrative Director and Lead Quest Designer, took to Twitter to share the heartfelt news. He confirmed that the dog in Devil’s Pit is actually a reference to Cavill.

Precisely, it is his dog, Kal, whom gamers will get to see at the terminal stage of a game’s good ending. Stating the same, the Director-designer wrote, “it’s nice that we got a little opportunity to show our appreciation for the great passion and enthusiasm Henry showed for The Witcher.”
As reported earlier, there were some creative differences between the producers of the series and Cavill. So fans will have to get used to a new face as the Geralt, as Hollywood A-lister, Liam Hemsworth. Nevertheless, his mark on the franchise through Kal will continue to live on forever.
