After ‘Red Notice’ With Ryan Reynolds Disappointed Fans, Gal Gadot’s New Netflix Flick Is on the Same Track
Rising to fame with Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot brought the superhero to life with a dash of charm and badassery. So when she took on a project like Red Notice with two of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors, fans’ expectations were at an all-time high. But neither Dwayne Johnson’s poise nor that charming Ryan Reynolds smile could save the movie from crashing and burning. Maybe Gadot teaming up with Reynolds and Johnson was no match for her chemistry with the Justice League. But whatever the reason, the flick received underwhelming ratings all around.
Now, fans of the Fast Five actress expected her to make a spectacular comeback with a recently released Netflix project. But for the makers and cast of this flick, the verdict has not been a pleasing one.

Despite a spy movie aficionado like Arnold Schwarzenegger giving his approval to Gadot, the Heart of Stone has failed to impress fans and critics alike. Since arriving on Netflix this week, it has managed only 5 stars on IMDB and a 31% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Regardless of starring a Bollywood star Alia Bhatt and Jamie Dornan, the cast’s star power could not redeem the film.
Owing to the minimal marketing employed by Netflix, people became aware of the flick much later too. That and the fact that many deemed the actor’s performances mediocre, came to be the reason for its downfall. Considering these factors, it seems unlikely the film will receive a sequel.
On the other hand, even after receiving critical reviews from critics, Red Notice may be revived after all. And it was none other than Gal Gadot who made this revelation.

While promoting Heart of Stone alongside her co-stars, Gal Gadot was asked about a Red Notice sequel in an interview with Collider. Initially, she was hesitant to answer, but then gave in and revealed that she has “already read the second script.” When she said that they are “all” excited and talking about it, one is forced to wonder if she is referring to Ryan Reynolds and Johnson.
Considering how much fun the three actors had while making Red Notice, they are bound to have a good time pulling together a sequel as well. Whether another attempt at creating a successful movie will work out for the 38-year-old or not, only time will tell.
