After an apology, therapy, and months of introspection, Smith began coming back into the limelight. The actor has not only been working on his PR but also promoting his movie Emancipation.

The Apple TV+ project is the first movie that Smith released since his Oscar drama. Amidst the criticism he has faced, making this movie successful is super important. But there lies a question now. Will viewers be able to watch the movie without being biased?

How biased reviews for Will Smith starrer Emancipation are being called out

For someone that did not want to do a slavery-based movie, Will Smith is working hard to promote it. The Antoine Fuqua movie cost around $120 million to make and has been a much-discussed movie. Although it is mostly because people are wondering if Smith can make a comeback after all the drama. A lot was at stake not only for him but also for everyone part of the movie as they struggled to find a release date amidst the backlash for Smith. Reviews for the movie have already started pouring all over social media. But it seems like a lot of the reviews for the movie are biased.

Many don’t seem to be be done with Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. As expected, it is affecting the movie. Smith even touched on the topic once and said how his mistakes should not cost the rest of the crew who worked hard. While there are also supporters who are calling out such biased reviews, one fan suggested how the release should have been postponed after the Oscar scandal.
