Henry Cavill has created a name for himself as an actor who can play the character of a Witcher to an action thriller hero. He can also play the character of a classic detective to larger-than-life superheroes well. Everyone saw him as DC’s famous superhero and one of the most loved, Superman. However, it seems Superman will not win against this other superhero in an upcoming remake. 

The British actor has been a fan-favorite character from the Netflix Original show, The Witcher. But fans will not see him after the third season of the show as Liam Hemsworth is taking over the role of Geralt of Rivia from season 4. Now, Captain America star, Chris Evans is, as reported by Giant Freakin Robot, in negotiations to replace the Enola Holmes actor. The news of replacing the 39-year-old actor has been on the surface for quite some time now. 

Previously, it was another Hemsworth brother, Chris Hemsworth, to be specific, who was rumored to replace Cavill in the remake of Highlander. However, it is not at all official if the fan-favorite Superman has been replaced yet or not. But reportedly, Evans is highly interested in playing the lead in the Highlander remake. 

Who would Chris Evans be after replacing Henry Cavill in Highlander?

The John Wick franchise director, Chad Stahelski, is the director of the remake. In the original 1986 film, Connor MacLeod is the hero who is a Scotsman. He was born in the 16th century. Eventually, he learns he can not die, only to fight the ultimate battle alongside other immortals. They would get a divine prize as well. 

It is possible and, of course, the interesting choice to cast The Gray Man actor for the role of a Scotsman. However, Chris Evans hasn’t done many films with a foreign accent, especially British. However, if he were to replace Cavill, he would have to speak with an English accent.
