A Month After Royal Backlash, Meghan Markle Finally Opens Up About Queen Elizabeth’s Death

Queen Elizabeth II breathed her last on September 08 at the Balmoral Castle in Scotland and things have only gotten difficult for Meghan Markle since then. For the past month, the Duchess of Sussex has been subjected to extensive trolling and criticism. Royal experts and monarchists have been recalling all the incidents where the Queen was hurt by Meghan’s actions.

The royal family also sidelined Meghan Markle during the state funeral and service. Kate Middleton was caught giving a cold stare to the former American actress on one of the occasions. Meanwhile, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry were also pushed to the second row during the funeral. They were also uninvited from certain important events during their stay in the United Kingdom. Following a month of all the backlash and criticism, the Sussex woman finally expressed her views on the late monarch.

Meghan Markle hails the Queen as a shining example of female leadership

Meghan Markle had all the good things to say about her late grandmother-in-law. The Suits alum believes that Her Majesty has left a legacy behind and she will always be remembered for the impact she created as a female leader. Markle also seemed grateful for having spent some time with Queen Elizabeth II.

Meanwhile, she is focusing on the positives instead of the negatives after the Queen’s death. The 41-year-old chose to ignore all the criticism that has come her way as she reflected on the abundant love and support she and her husband Prince Harry have received in the past one month.

“There’s been such an outpouring of love and support. Certainly, in terms of female leadership, she is the most shining example of what that looks like. I feel deep gratitude to have been able to spend time with her and get to know her,” Meghan told Variety

Meghan Markle also reflected on how Prince Harry has been dealing with the loss of his beloved grandmother. The royal prince has had a tough time accepting the reality, but he is happy that the Queen is now reunited with her husband, Prince Philip, who died last year.
