Zack Snyder Is “absolutely” In to Recreate His DC Universe With Henry Cavill if Netflix Allowed
The dawn of the next year would bring with itself a slew of superhero movies. However, a majority of those are from Sony’s Marvel spiderverse or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would take DC Studios a year more, with James Gunn aiming his launch of David Corenswet donning the red cape in Superman: Legacy. Yet, the release would mark a major pivotal shift as it would allow the DC chairs to steamroll with the 10-year vision for their movies. While it would come across as stiff competition to Marvel Studios, it would also mark the absolute nail in the coffin for Zack Snyder’s version of DC characters.
In the last couple of years, while the director’s movies already stand booted out of canon, die-hard fans still latch on to hope. Interestingly, there may be a shining light for them.

It all started with Henry Cavill in 2013’s Man of Steel. Zack Snyder would take a darker approach to fan-favorite characters and land Warner Bros. a divisive critical outlook. Come 2022, James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the reins of DC Studios and wiped out all of Snyder’s instances from the canon with 2023’s The Flash. However, there is still hope. Speaking to CulturaOcia, Zack Snyder said, “If Netflix had the rights to the characters in my DC universe, of course, I would, absolutely (return)”.
The comments may ignite another light at the end of the tunnel for fans long awaiting a resumption of the project. Interestingly, Netflix too has hinted at taking a shot at acquiring the license for the DC characters. The filmmaker’s plans for a wide DC Extended Universe fell out when a personal tragedy forced him out of 2017’s Justice League. Following this, the studio handed the helm to Joss Whedon and the resulting clash of narrative was an absolute disaster and the box office end of Snyder’s DC.
In the meantime, the streaming giant has put all its weight on the visionary director to sway his massive fan base.

Taking note of it, the director’s space opera, Rebel Moon quickly readied itself for a two-part franchise.
Not only would Army of the Dead merge into Rebel Moon, but the trailer had already showcased an animatronic alien from the former as a living character in the latter.
