Netflix shared a new video that includes the cast and crew of The Queen’s Gambit sharing what they are thinking about the series.

Our favorite streamer likes to share some content from their popular series. Netflix usually gives the fans more content about the shows they like with behind-the-scenes videos and deeper looks. This one is an example of that. We see how the actors of The Queen’s Gambit like the series, and see how the producers think about this masterpiece. The video mainly shows us the thoughts of the director Scott Frank, and the main star Anya Taylor-Joy. Check it out below.

They start off by discussing chess as a game. Many chess players go insane and Beth was on a thin line in that aspect, according to the star. “I do think that she’s juggling a very fine line of like ‘Am I insane, or am I a genius?’ and she doesn’t quite know where she sits.”

Anya Taylor-Joy mainly talks about her character Beth. We see how she changes her appearance based on her age in the series with various wigs. The video also touches on Beth’s dresses throughout the series. The star apparently likes the dresses in Moscow the best. The monochromatic fashion, she says, makes her feel cooler than she actually is.

The producers also touch on the different locations the crew had to travel to. As you might remember, there are a lot of different sets as Beth goes to Las Vegas, Moscow, Paris, and such. “Every time I got to go on a new set, I was always completely blown away by the way it looked,” says the star Anya Taylor-Joy.

Well, as we earlier mentioned, Netflix likes to give us some new content from The Queen’s Gambit. Previously, they shared a video showing Beth’s badass moments. However, we still don’t have anything about season 2. Is there going to be a second season for The Queen’s Gambit? Let’s check out the possibilities regarding that.

The Queen’s Gambit is billed as a “limited” series. So, we aren’t going to see a season 2 by default.

Some limited series get a second season, but this one is not likely to be among one of them. That’s because the ending of The Queen’s Gambit is quite satisfactory.

However, many fans are expecting a new set of installments. The cast members are not opposed to the idea, too.

“I adore the character, and I would certainly come back if I was asked to, but I do think we leave Beth in a good place,” says Anya Taylor-Joy. “I think the rest of her life will surely be an adventure as well, but in the quest that she goes on in this to find some form of peace, just some form of being able to be happy with who she is,” she continues. The actress thinks the series ends in a nice place.

The executive producer, on the other hand, had the following to say.

“It’s wonderful to know that people loved the show where they want to spend more time with these characters; we never envisioned it that way. We felt that the series had a satisfying endpoint and we’d allow the audience to fill in the spaces as to what happens next for Beth Harmon.”
