During the anticipation for Kanye West’s album, he released two distinct versions of his song, ‘Jail.’ The first version featured Ye’s longtime collaborator Jay-Z, who had previously worked with him on their acclaimed joint album, ‘Watch The Throne,’ which recently became the most-streamed collab on Spotify. However, West surprised fans by also releasing a second version of the song, replacing the ’99 Problems’ singer’s verse with one performed by DaBaby, a prominent younger rapper.
Yachty talked about Ye’s song ‘Jail’ where the two featured and had rap verses. On his podcast ‘A Safe Place’, the 25-year-old rapper said, “In my personal opinion, I think DaBaby had a better verse.” He acknowledged that directly comparing the two artists without considering the context would be a controversial viewpoint, but he stood to his point. He was sure that the ‘Suge’ singer’s verses were better.
His claims definitely put some spotlight on the 31-year-old ‘BOP’ singer. His honest review might have just given DaBaby the push he didn’t know he needed.
