Kanye West, known for stirring up the hornet’s nests with his controversial stances, has lately been down on his luck. The German sportswear company, Adidas, cut their seven-year-long relationship with Ye owing to his anti-Semitic remarks and white supremacist comments. However, this didn’t affect the sales of their co-fabricated line of sneakers, Yeezy, and they made huge profits. However, profits didn’t make the famous rapper Drake hold back on his mockery of Ye’s brainchild.

Last night, the ‘Scorpion’ creator had his first-ever concert in Milwaukee as a part of his ongoing It’s All A Blur Tour, which drew in a lot of crowd. Though the rapper created a hell of a night for his fans, he couldn’t stop creating hell for Ye’s baby, Yeezy.

Drake took a dig at Kanye West’s Yeezy

The It’s All a Blur Tour was delayed by a day, however, that didn’t kill the buzz and the audience had a blast vibing to a whopping 44 hits. During the show, Drake took a moment to compliment one of the fans in the crowd and said, “You look good” and added, “…even though you got those Yeezys on”. This diss had the crowd in stitches as the beef between the two rap gods is no secret at all!

The ‘Certified Lover Boy’ had a love-hate relationship with the ‘College Dropout’ that went from idolizing Ye to fiercely competing with him. Their beef started because of a clash in the release of music albums, which further amplified into a heated rivalry. To an extent, both rappers even dissed each other for the number of swimming pools they have. 

This rivalry became even more evident when Drizzy’s track ‘No Stylist’ featured a verse that threw shade at Yeezy, saying, “Keep it a G, I told her don’t wear no 350s ’round me.” No matter the shade, Yeezy has been profitable for West, even after Adidas broke ties with the rapper.

Ye parting ways with Adidas ignited a lot of discussion regarding the future of the Yeezy line. It was speculated that the revenue from the sales might drop drastically in light of the fan’s sentiment attached to Ye. However, Yeezy made a whopping $565 million making the fashion mogul entitled for approximately $85 million.

The German company will sell of the leftover Yeezy stock without the rapper’s association. However, the profits generated from the same will have 15% of it going to the rapper owing to the designs being his baby. With Adidas out of the game, the rapper has been making attempts to rebuild Yeezy with hints here and there and active hirings for the same.
