The singer took to his Instagram handle a few hours ago to celebrate 1 billion streams of their debut single of 2011. An evergreen 1D classic that certainly made the group one of its kind, What Makes You Beautiful, still streams as a fan favorite a decade after. Writing on his handle, Payne expressed the moment almost feels surreal. “What an achievement boys! I’m so lucky not only to share this with you but also this amazing fanbase every day…” wrote the singer.
Congratulating the entire bunch, Liam Payne could hardly contain his feelings. Joining him were the thousands of fans who flooded the comment section, all overwhelmed.

Liam’s comment section not just had music manias but official accounts expressing their love. Spotify’s official account screamed in caps lock, “WE ARE EMOTIONAL”. Meanwhile, Paul Wesley wrote this the time he gets back to searching 1D on his Spotify. A bunch of others went with the famous Harry Styles meme catchphrase, stating, “crying in a cool way“.

Others were just amazed that they opened up their Instagram to a one-direction throwback. The terrific news has sent the die-hard fans on a sob fest, as hardly has any fan gone by without shedding a tear on the comments.
