One such song was ‘Gold Digger’ with Jamie Foxx, which crossed 1 billion streams on Spotify this month.

Ye and Jamie Foxx have collaborated on not one many songs together. However, their friendship goes way beyond their hit collaboration. And they met each other at a party, as Foxx revealed in 2017, by mimicking the Chicago rapper.

In 2017, the Ray actor appeared on The Graham Norton Show, where he spoke about his first meeting with Kanye West. Foxx had hosted a big party where Jay Z, Puff, and other music moguls were invited. This kid walks in with a backpack on,” said Foxx about Ye’s arrival. Questioning the boy’s identity, the audience present there revealed it was Kanye West who produced with Jay Z. Mimicking the ‘Donda’ creator, Foxx revealed he offered him to collaborate on his new song.

The now 46-year-old rapper amazed the Day Shift actor with his freestyle, which led Foxx to say, Oh boy, you’re gonna be famous!” That was the time when the now 55-year-old actor was trying to get into the music business. Shocked and excited, Foxx immediately took Ye to his studio, where the rapper worked his magic. While Foxx tried to mold the verse in R&B style, the ‘I Wonder’ singer explained how hip-hop worked.
