As the Holiday season approaches, so comes the merriment. The months from Thanksgiving all the way up to Spring always see big-ticket releases. Following the movies comes the adrenaline kicking in with the Super Bowl. The games which will take place on February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, already have a headliner. Apple just announced that Usher would headline the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, which was also confirmed by the rapper in an Instagram post.
The big-eyed event, which draws crowds from all across the country, has seen Hollywood and music A-listers such as Rihanna, Eminem, The Weeknd, and Michael Jackson helm it. Now, the 90s rapper is all set to steal the show. Airing on CBS, it is bound to be a crowd-puller where Usher may even showcase his classic hits from ‘Yeah’ and ‘MyWay’. Accordingly, there have been no further announcements on further cast.
Interestingly, as of now, Usher also can be connected to a trending celebrity. The self-made multi-platinum record holder had once made his views clear on Kanye West. Rather, he knew what was coming of the ‘Flashing Lights’ singer even before anyone saw it coming.

Long before Ye had even released his first album, Usher was already a music icon. The singer had helped shape a generation of the next R&B and pop icons including Kanye West. Once while speaking to BBC Radio 1Xtra, the ‘Confessions’ singer had a mouthful of praise for Ye. Starting off by saying that he was always into supporting and “nurturing icons”, Usher mentioned that he could see West going on to become that “icon”.
Referring to his 2004 Truth Tour for his album ‘Confessions’, the songwriter highlighted why he had brought Kanye West along with him. “Nothing is more greater than…to know that you saw it first.” Reciprocating his trust, after performing a rap of his verse from the ‘Confessions Remix’ on the tour, Ye went on on to win his own Grammy in 2005.
