There have been numerous casting rumors floating in the air for the upcoming movie of Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 3. However, a particular rumor that sent shockwaves of excitement throughout the world was Taylor Swift, featuring as the pop star mutant, Dazzler. These speculations took off after fans noticed that the announcement teaser for the movie was filmed in the same house where the singer filmed All Too Well: The Short Film. 

Fans were quick to point out that from pieces of furniture to the wallpapers, everything resembled that of Swift’s music video. However, Reynolds denied these speculations in a 2022 interview with ET. A month after his interview, the internet started flooding with several unconfirmed updates about the ‘Lover’ singer joining the Deadpool franchise. Amidst all the chatter surrounding Swift playing Dazzler, an Instagram page shared a fan art of the singer.

Even though director Shawn Levy refused to shed light on the fan guesses, they did not stop coming up with their own theories. Especially after seeing Swift in her sparking bodysuit with pink and blue jewels at the Eras tour concert, she became the ideal pick for Dazzler for the fans. And now with the reimagined fan art by Kode Abdo, the speculations reached new heights. 

Given all these hints, it is understandable for Marvel enthusiasts and Swifties to react the way they are reacting. 

Fans going wild over the fan art of Taylor Swift

Recently, the media again spotted the sensational singer hanging out with Reynolds and Hugh Jackman at a football game, further adding fuel to the fire. Fans expressed their excitement on the social media platform by sharing how they think there is no one else who could be a better fit for Dazzler. They flooded the comments saying, “You can’t deny this is the best casting idea”, “Marvel please make this happen”, and “Yes, she fits the role perfectly”. 

They also joked about Swift’s rumored boyfriend, Travis Kelce, saying, “The NFL will find a way to report on this”. There were also some fans who believed that even if the rumors were false, they would still go for Deadpool 3 “because duh it’s Hugh and Ryan together at last”. However, some critics in the comments said, “Absolutely not….. we don’t need her in anything Deadpool.”
