After Their Golden Globe Rivalry, Taylor Swift’s Music Could Be Featured in Ryan Gosling’s Upcoming Film
Last year, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film and Ryan Gosling’s Barbie went head to head at the Golden Globes. While both films had been nominated for the Box Office and Cinematic Achievement Award, the Mattel film came out victorious. Now, with award season officially over, it looks like the 43-year-old’s next project could feature music from the world’s favorite pop sensation.
The speculations began when Gosling was seen crying to Swift’s music in a Super Bowl trailer. Since then fans have been wondering whether the 34-year-old’s music would make its way into the upcoming film.

After the trailer for Ryan Gosling’s upcoming The Fall Guy debuted at the Super Bowl, fans have been speculating whether more of Taylor Swift’s music could be in the film. Now, they might finally have an answer. Just last night, at the 96th Academy Awards, Variety interviewed David Leitch about his project. He was asked how much Taylor Swift music fans could expect in the film.
While the 48-year-old did not “want to give it away,” He admitted, “there’s some Tay Tay.” The director also stated, “We love Tay Tay,” referring to his wife, Kelly McCormick. Apart from just them, Leitch also confirmed that “Colt Seavers,” the character of Gosling also loved the singer. The interviewer tried to ask him whether Swift could make an appearance in the film. However, he had no comments on that.
Swift could make a surprise appearance under the right circumstances, but the Swifties will have to wait for the Gosling movie to drop for answers.

Ever since November 2023, the world has been eagerly waiting for updates on Ryan Gosling’s The Fall Guy. Thankfully, they did not have to wait long as the film’s trailer debuted at the Super Bowl title decider, along with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine. Apart from teasing the usage of Taylor Swift’s songs, they also dropped a release date of May 3rd, 2024.
Although the movie will be released worldwide in May, there will be a world premiere held at SXSW on March 12th to kick off the Gosling project. Fans may have to wait a few more months before the action comedy starring Emily Blunt, Hannah Waddingham, and even Jason Statham, releases. However, there is no doubt that the project will be worth it.
