The Marvel juggernaut is having a tough time now rolling ahead on its wheels. After mixed critical reception of many of its movies made it lose steam, SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes dented its momentum further. At the forefront of the MCU renaissance is Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s hotly anticipated Deadpool 3. However, the studio still has a long path to tread before it can screen the duo clash big-time on screens.

Amidst a thaw with WGA and ongoing negotiations with SAG-AFTRA, Marvel Studios’ think-tank may already have a schedule in its hands.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool 3 among the top priorities for Marvel Studios

After an Internet-breaking photo of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in their iconic comic-accurate costume, Deadpool 3’s production stood stalled. Both of its leading actors being members of the SAG-AFTRA union, meant that the film could not proceed even after the WGA green light. However, insider reports predict that bringing the epic clash on screen as soon as possible is among the studio’s top priorities. As such, Marvel reportedly has already gathered its writers around the whiteboard.

Set to pick up on the ashes of the dead phoenix of Fox, the MCU blockbuster is to be a stellar reboot. Poised to be the first-ever R-rated MCU flick, the film also carries numerous cameos in tows. However, despite being moved up to May 2024 from its earlier September schedule pre-strikes, the mega-crossover looks all but to shoot past its deadline. Along with Deadpool 3, Marvel Studios is also working on Fantastic Four‘s cast.

Meanwhile, the stars of the mega star-studded extravaganza await production as they navigate their lives.

Amidst the stalled development of his movie, Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, did not miss the brewing Taylor Swift’s NFL romance. Alongside Hugh Jackman, the quad of A-listers graced the last Chiefs-Jets Game. All cheers for Kelce, the stars jammed the spotlights on themselves. Reynolds and Jackman have been spending quite some time together now after the latter’s recent divorce.

On the movie side of things, both the stars along the director kept their hopes up for a potential window to clear out. Director Shawn Levy has already teased his plans to integrate the X-Men of the past into Deadpool 3. Moreover, Daniel Radcliffe and numerous other superstars have also found their names attached to the possible star cast. Amidst a plethora of anticipation to see it all go down, a pretentious wait still lies ahead.
