There are some films that can never get old no matter how old we get. This Oscar-winning trilogy series is one of them. The film trilogy has a huge fanbase and people follow it religiously. In February, Netflix brought the trilogy to its platforms and now, there is news about the film leaving the platform for a surprising reason. But which movie are we talking about?

The Lord of the Rings is a series of 3 fantastic and epic adventure movies. Based on the books of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien, the films won many hearts and still owns them. When the American streaming giant announced the arrival of the film series on its platform, fans became extremely happy. However, from the 31st of March, the OTT platform is losing the trilogy, reported by Giant Freakin Robot.

Warner Bros Discovery announced they have an upcoming Lord of the Rings movie. There is an issue with license expiration as well. After leaving MGM, De Luca and Abdy joined hands with Warner Bros Discovery. However, Amazon holds the rights to The Lords of the Rings. Well, therefore, Warner Bros Discovery and Amazon are against each other currently, as they have different versions of the original source.

It is not known about Warner Bros. Discovery’s upcoming movie’s focus is. However, people assume it might be the reboot of the original film series, too.

No matter how hard fans want the trilogy to star on the streaming giant, it is going to leave the platform, that is for sure. But the question is if Netflix is going to be a part of the upcoming film. That is not clear at the moment if the upcoming film will be streamed on the American OTT platform. Despite having several huge TV series and films in its library, losing one of the most loved and sensational film trilogies is still a big loss for the giant.

There are other adaptations of The Lords of the Rings trilogy as well, including the follow-up of the film, The Hobbits trilogy. Although some fans loved the trilogy, it could not beat the original films. Are you also a fan of The Lord of The Rings?
