The biblical film is a gore violent drama chronicling the last 12 hours of Jesus Christ before he was crucified. The 2004 biblical drama narrates Jesus’ crucifixion based on the original gospels and manuscripts. The film was shot entirely in Aramaic, Hebrew, and Latin. But the movie depicts the harrowing event in such graphic details that Mel Gibson was forced to release a Cut version of the original film. The Passion Cut was released a year after the original film with the last five minutes deleted. With Easter approaching soon, Christians may want to know where to watch the film. The biblical film doesn’t show Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. Instead, it shows his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane. Soon after Judas betrays him and he has to stand trial before the governor of Judaea. As per the gospels he is punished and crucified to death on Friday. The 2004 film is rated 7.4 on IMDb. It stars Jim Caviezel, Monica Bellucci, Maia Morgenstern and more. It has also received Emmy nominations.

Is The Passion of The Christ streaming on Netflix?

Unfortunately, The Passion of The Christ isn’t available on Netflix. But you should not be disappointed with it, because the streamer carries other Christian films. Instead of Passion of The Christ on Netflix, you can stream The Young Messiah (2016) and Fatima (2020).

Where can you watch the Mel Gibson movie?

Although Netflix doesn’t carry the biblical film, you can watch the film on Amazon Prime. All you need is a Prime Video subscription and then you can hit play on the 2-hour movie. 

As for Hulu subscribers, you are out of luck. The platform doesn’t stream the movie. Instead, you can find Mary Magdalene (2018) on the platform. As you can tell from the title it tells the story of Mary Magdalene. Other than that you can also rent the film on iTunes, Google Play, Microsoft Store, FandangoNOW, VUDU, and Redbox.
