Kanye West has always been a passionate individual. The Flashing Lights hitmaker’s story is one of dedication, hard work and perseverance. However, the rapper has had an incredible journey to reach where Ye is. And an interview from years ago prove how the Heartless Star was always destined to be great. In a conversation with MTV, Ye spoke about what inspired him in his music career. Unsurprisingly, Ye handled the question perfectly as he revealed, “I just had the hunger.” The rapper further explained that he had to fight for his success. However, Ye also credited his mother, Donda. As the rapper spoke about how he carved a niche out for himself, he added that his mother never raised him to ask for a handout.

West shed some light on the rappers back then, explaining that they always depended on their connections. The Heartless singer continued that half the artists were driving someone else’s car or wearing another’s jewellery and did not even pay for their shoes. However, on the contrary, Ye spoke about how he had to go out and get a job at 15.

Furthermore, he mentioned Cube’s name multiple times on the podcast. However, the It Was A Good Day rapper was quick enough to respond to the allegations. Cube took to Twitter and denied the claims. Furthermore, he asked Ye to keep him out of all the antisemitic talks.
