Nick Cannon was probably the reason Kanye West and Kim Kardashian ended up becoming ‘Kimye’. The America’s Got Talent host has known the two celebrities for a long time, having seen them through their ups and downs. Now, celebrities tend to date each other in the same industry. So there was a time when even Cannon dated the Keeping up with The Kardashians star.

As we know, they ended up with very different lives. Despite their separation, Cannon still ships Kimye. But the actor made some surprising revelations about what he had to do in their relationship. In a recent interview, he reveals it all in detail.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made one of the most popular couples in Hollywood. But there have been multiple stories of how exactly the former lovebirds met. Nick Cannon, who himself had quite the dating history, revealed on the Howard Stern Show his role in it: “I always say I am the person who introduced Kim to Kanye.” 

Cannon dated the SKIMS owner back in 2006, when he introduced her to her future husband. Although the comedian also pointed out that Kimye likely did not happen until years later.

As it turned out, Cannon and her dated in 2006 until she broke up with him. Thereafter, she began dating Ye in 2012. After eight years of togetherness with six years of marriage, the couple finalized their divorce last year. It was during their separation period that she dated comedian Pete Davidson, much to Ye’s hatred. This comes as a coincidence since the 42-year-old was friends with both West and a much younger Pete Davidson.

Today, Cannon still holds a respect for the former couple and wishes nothing but the best for them.

During a previous interview in 2022, Cannon confessed that it made sense for the SKIMS owner to be with the ‘Gold Digger’ singer. Both had lost their parents, were under constant public scrutiny, and were super ambitious while ending up as billionaires.

He hopes the two will get back together for their fourth kids: North, Chicago, Saint, Psalm. Meanwhile, the actor himself is a father of eleven children, including daughter Monroe and son Moroccan with Mariah Carey.
