Zack Snyder is a filmmaker known for his bold and unconventional ideas, particularly when it comes to the DC Universe. Before James Gunn axed the Snyderverse from DCU, fans wanted more of Snyder’s vision. However, the director found another way of making it happen. Recently, he arranged Zack Snyder’s Full Circle, where he talked about a unique vision. One of his most interesting and controversial ideas involves connecting Wonder Woman and Superman uniquely.

Snyder’s vision for connecting Wonder Woman and Superman involves the idea that they are both descendants of ancient gods. According to Snyder, the Amazons, the all-female warrior race that Wonder Woman belongs to, are descendants of the ancient Greek gods. But Superman is descended from the ancient Kryptonian gods, as CBR reported. One of his most controversial creative decisions was to portray Zeus, the king of the gods in Greek mythology. Snyder showed Zeus as a Kryptonian in his version of Justice League.

At the Full Circle event, he addressed the situation and revealed Wonder Woman was going to be a Kryptonian. Because Wonder Woman is the daughter of the Greek God, her powers would have been a result of her being a part of Kryptonian. Snyder also revealed they toyed around with the idea of where gods came from as well.

In Snyder’s version of the DC Universe, he portrayed Kryptonians as god-like beings with immense power and larger-than-life abilities. This makes it easy to see how viewers would have mistaken them for gods by ancient humans. However, the idea of Kryptonians as ancient aliens is not new to the Superman mythos, as they have explored it in various comic book storylines.

In Justice League, Zeus was portrayed as a Kryptonian. He arrived on Earth thousands of years ago and helped humanity fight against the forces of darkness. He is depicted as a powerful being who possesses abilities similar to those of Superman. This portrayal of Zeus as a Kryptonian is not without controversy. The reason being it deviates from the traditional depiction of Zeus as a Greek god.
