In a talk with Wales Online, Wrexham photographer Cody Froggatt opened up on the co-owners’ nature. And he has nothing but praise and admiration for them. Froggatt spoke of them being incredibly grounded and carving time for the players, fans, unplanned surprises, and visits, making people value them as individuals.

Froggatt also recalled meeting the co-owners’ families, including Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, as well as McElhenney’s wife Kaitlin Olson ​and kids. He admitted being “star-struck” by them and other A-listers that graced Wrexham ground at first. However, “it just becomes a bit normal,” quipped Froggatt. The highlight of his talk was the welcoming nature of the co-owners and the humble persona they share. Describing Ryan Reynolds as a “very casual and nonchalant person,” the photographer spoke of his down-to-earth nature. 

Although Froggatt supports a team rivaling Wrexham, he whole-heartedly admits that the love he has received at Wrexham, especially the welcome from the co-owners, is unparalleled. Thus, it seems Wrexham may soon pluck fans off rival teams and adorn them as its own!

Wrexham AFC soars to a fifteen-year high and attracts global fandom

The takeover of Wrexham by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney has started to bear fruits. After fifteen years of being stuck in the fifth tier of English football, Wrexham finally managed to crack it back into League Two of the EFL, the fourth tier. The team gave fierce competition even after the exit of goalkeeper Ben Foster.
