Ryan Reynolds is just one of those actors that fans love equally in a movie set as they do in an interview. Maybe, even more, when he is giving an interview. The actor has made it a known fact that his brain-to-mouth filter is either up for repair or has been completely tarnished. The actor in his most behaved interviews has found a way to express his disdain regarding life in general through a couple of light-hearted jokes and they have earned him many claps. And in case he does say something a bit too extreme, it can always be cut before being telecasted.

But that is not the case during games or any sport-related event where the magic is in spontaneity. This might be why, when Reynolds was asked about Wrexham FC’s future, his answer left everybody, including himself, stunned.

Ryan Reynolds predicted an earth-shattering future for Wrexham FC

In 2021, as Reynolds promoted his mega action thriller with Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot, a question or two about Wrexham FC became a routine. The actor had purchased the club with fellow football enthusiast Rob McElhenney, and the two were understandably a bit too excited when they acquired it. When faced with this interview again on the Jonathan Ross Show along with his Red Notice crew members, the actor did not apologize for any of it. Not the meteor part and definitely not the cussing part. Instead, Reynolds said, “Who shoots live anymore?” earning a hearty chuckle from both Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson. This is also not the first time the Deadpool actor cussed on camera.

Has Reynolds’ Wrexham FC prediction come true?

The Wrexham FC owners have come a long way from back in 2020 and 2021 when Reynolds and McElhenney were only getting a hang of what they wanted to do with the club. In the past years, not only have they set more definite and attainable goals for their team, but have given the world a masterclass in being football club co-owners.

While thankfully not earth-shattering, Wrexham FC is reaching heights it had not in the past 60 years of its games. The FC got promoted after a 15-year gap, all of which will be covered in Welcome to Wrexham season 2. And despite knowing that the interviews are indeed being live telecast, owing to the high of the match, the Deadpool actor often slips in one or two cuss words.
