Tough Witcher Henry Cavill Once Revealed How Being “Openly Emotional” Made His Boarding School Experience Hard

High school can be tough in many ways. Things like being away from your family, being a little different in any way from your peers, being an outsider, and so forth, can affect the experience. For Henry Cavill, it was his own quality that made him different from his peers. Our very own tough Witcher once was extremely emotional in boarding school. Once he revealed how this quality made it harder for him to survive in his school.

Showing emotions upfront can be considered a sign of weakness. Today, with the changing time, vulnerability is getting its due respect. However, wearing emotions on his sleeves did not benefit The Witcher star in his boarding school. In his interview with Josh Horowitz on Happy Sad Confused, Cavill opened up about this experience and his days as a teenager. “I think I was probably a very openly emotional kid,” admitted the Superman actor.

Talking about how it made a tough experience for him, the British actor said it made him an easy target to get picked on. Because he wore his heart on his sleeves, he had to face a lot of difficult situations during his time in the boarding school. However, there was one help he knew he always had, and it was from his mother. Talking about it further, the 40-year-old actor added because his mother was an extremely tough person, she helped him get through that phase of his life.

During his interview, he admitted it prepared him to be understanding of an industry that would say no a lot. Therefore, when he got rejection after auditioning for James Bond all these years ago, he took it positively. Instead of getting depressed and broken, he made the necessary changes in his physique.
