He also talked to Extra TV about the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter award he was going to receive at the event. The 46-year-old stated that he felt “profoundly honored” to be the recipient of the accolade named after Robin Williams, who passed away at age 63 in 2014. 

He praised the Dead Poets Society star for his astounding talents as an actor, comedian, and impressionist. The Free Guy star revealed he has followed Williams his entire life and that he was only the one of his kind. “There’s nobody else like him before him or after him, there never will be,” he told the outlet. Later, when receiving the award, Reynolds also added that the man has left an unmatched legacy behind him that will continue to live on.

Besides speaking about the Oscar-winning actor, the actor also spent time with his family who also attended the function.
