The Youngest UNICEF Ambassador Millie Bobby Brown Sends Out a Message for Women Having “Vulnerable Experience” and Needs Safety
Millie Bobby Brown has always tried to defy the norms. So she chose a path that can make her voice heard around the globe. Only at 14, she saw how other girls and women do not even have access to basic needs and that she can do something for them. Taking charge as UNICEF Ambassador, she started talking about how the majority of females are suffering around the globe. Moving forward with this aim, she is again reminding the world about women who need safety and protection.
The Stranger Things star recently turned to Instagram alongside UNICEF to talk about widespread period problems on the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day. In the post, UNICEF shared pictures of young girls. “Starting your period is a new and vulnerable experience for many. Which is why it is so important to talk about this topic and make sure we all have the resources we need to stay safe and healthy,” they wrote.

The actress asked why people need to talk about it more often than zipping their mouths whenever this topic comes up, as she thinks that only a few parts of society are privileged to lead a healthy and safe life. However, there are women and girls out there who are constantly failing to break this taboo around the period.
People who follow the 19-year-old regularly on social media might know that she keeps on spreading awareness on issues that matter. On Women’s Day also sent out a heartwarming message for women. Since she has been evolving as a young woman, Brown wants all other females to empower themselves. And never leaves a chance to do so as uniquely as she can.

Back in 2021, the teen actress released a line of customizable platform Converse shoes. She joined hands with Pauline Wattanodom, a 20-year-old Bangkok-based artist to illustrate graphics for the sneakers. Through this collection, the duo inspired the bond of friendship and sisterhood between young girls.
“Empowered women empower women. The more people empower me, the more I want to empower people,” she told Seventeen Magazine. From drawings of hands giving pinky promises to friendship bracelets, this collection included everyone young women love.
