Basking in the glory of ten whole Emmy awards, HBO’s The White Lotus has enthralled audiences since its inaugural season. After debuting in 2021 with stellar talents like Sydney Sweeney and Jennifer Coolidge, the anthology series took an unexpected turn in season 2. Despite Sweeney’s Emmy-nominated performance, she was notably absent in the second season. Meanwhile, Coolidge, who won a Golden Globe for it, was also written off by the end of season 2. 

As it now approaches the next season, whispers of new actors joining have begun swirling. And they even include a renowned A-lister. 

Rumors hint at these faces in The White Lotus season 3 

Earlier today, X (previously Twitter) started swarming with reports of The White Lotus’ season 3 cast. Among the names being touted as almost confirmed was that of Woody Harrelson. Besides being a hugely popular Hollywood veteran, the 62-year-old has been nominated for an Academy Award not once but three times! So if these reports end up being true, fans can expect great things from the next season for sure. 

Other actors whose names appeared in this speculated list include The Daytrippers sensation Parker Posey and Sex Education stars, Jason Isaacs and Aimee Lou Wood. Two Emmy-nominated actors, Walt Goggins and Carrie Coon also made it to this list. Meanwhile, fans still await news of a comeback by Euphoria sensation, Sydney Sweeney. Especially considering what the show’s maker said about the upcoming season. 

Not too long ago, Mike White, who created the HBO series, hinted at this major update for season 3. 

Next season of The White Lotus is slated to be ‘bigger’ than ever

In November last year, Mike White sent The White Lotus’ fans into a frenzy by making a bold statement. According to his statement, the upcoming season is not only looking to be “longer and bigger” but also “crazier“. He referred to it as a “supersized” version of past installments while hinting at the next shoot location to be in Asia! Later, he also hinted at the return of Coolidge as Tanya!

Considering that the heiress character was shown to have passed away in the last episode of season 2, it seems like the next season might contain some flashback prequel sequences or a fake death plot twist carrying the American Pie actress. So, it is also possible that Sydney Sweeney might rejoin the show for these exciting developments in season 3.
