‘The Office’ Reboot News Leaves the Internet Angered, a Decade After the Series’ End
Who could ever forget the early 2000s NBC series, The Office? Apart from having a star-studded cast, the series constantly broke the fourth wall. It may have been for the comedy but it made the series a tad bit more relatable to their viewers. With all the right characters ending up together, there is no denying that the entire series could not have been made better. However, over a decade after the show reached its end, rumors of a reboot began swirling.
While fans may have fallen in love with the show’s characters like Jim Halpert, Micheal Scott, and even Dwight Shrute, it was the entire franchise that ended up stealing hearts. The news of a reboot being in development was announced on Culture Crave. But 10 years after the final season of The Office, the news of a reboot was not met with the enthusiastic response Greg Daniels, the original showrunner, was expecting.

Once fans realized that was true and not a joke, the confusion as to why a reboot was even needed ensued. The show had built a huge fanbase since its early days on NBC. But it soon drew fans in with its hilarious characters and rather dry comedy. Apart from the sarcastic comments, the show grabbed attention with its excellent actors and relatable seasons.
However, after a nine-season run, the series came to an end. But only after becoming one of the most popular comedy series on the planet.
After news of The Office not only being rebooted but also being developed broke, fans all over the world were left in complete disbelief that anyone would want to rework a masterpiece.
The Office fans are unhappy with the news of a reboot
Recently, a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) revealed that the comedy show, The Office, had officially been given the green light for a reboot. The show, which began back in 2005, has now held a special place in the hearts of its fans for almost two decades now. And although the series may have ended in 2013, that has not changed the love fans have for it. In fact, fans love the series so much that they immediately took over the internet to voice their displeasure at the news.
Apart from expressing some valid concerns, some users immediately rushed to use some of their favorite The Office moments to express the sentiments they were feeling.

The internet may still not be ready for a new The Office reboot without, John Krasinski, Steve Carell, who recently surprised his fans with an appearance on a podcast, and the rest of the gang. But it looks like they will still be getting one after all. Hopefully, it will live up to the expectations of the original series.
