Fans Left Astonished at ‘Gen V’ Awkward Poster, Following Homelander’s Finale Takeover
The much-anticipated show Gen V, which was a spin-off of The Boys by Kripke, is finally accessible to fans. Fans have been pondering about the potential twists the television series might take and how it could add a fresh dimension to the already popular series, The Boys. And it is safe to say that the show struck a home run, as fans are still actively discussing the show’s unexpected plot developments, especially the finale episode, The Guardians of Godolkin.
Recently, the series’ official page shared a poster of the season finale episode featuring Kate and Sam, played by Maddie Phillips and Asa Germann, respectively. The page further captioned the post saying, “If this poster looks a little familiar to you, mind your business!!”.

The poster was very similar to the Dawn of the Seven, the iconic movie starring the 7, and indeed the OG Guardians of Godolkin poster. The Dawn of the Seven poster featured the once-mighty group of seven superheroes, managed by Vought International. However, as shown in Gen V, there are only three members, Homelander, The Deep, and A-Train, who have been looking for other members to join the group, with Cate and Sam being potential candidates.
As soon as the post surfaced on X, formerly Twitter, fans filled the comment section by asking about Homelander under the post on X, formerly Twitter.
Fans laying down the importance of Homelander in Gen V
The final episode of the American superhero television series kept fans on the edge of their seats and also created anticipation for the fourth season of The Boys. The highlight of the finale episode, however, was Homelander and his unsettling shift in perspective. His growing apathy towards the public’s judgment could act as a pivotal turning point in Cate and Sam’s character development moving forward.
Some fans also talked about the insane plot twist the show brought forward, which has just hyped up the anticipation of the upcoming seasons.
A fan even shared the original poster, which again only had Homelander’s statue in it, alongside the post, asking fans to “spot the difference” between the two. The poster featured Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played the Golden Boy in the superhero series.
