And now, weeks after production has officially wrapped, another casting update of a highly important character has been revealed. Want to know which character it is and who is playing it? Then keep on reading.

Get to know Ty Lee
Lee is a vital ally of the Fire Nation’s Princess Azula, first appearing in Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, Episode 3, Return to Omashu, and is noticeably more cheery and easygoing than her companions. Furthermore, the character is capable of Chi-blocking, a formidable technique that allows her to momentarily deprive Benders of their powers. Olivia Hack played Lee in the original series.
The second major change from the original series
Since Ty Lee’s appearance is much later in the show, Momona’s casting proves that the live-action adaptation will surely take a few turns from the original. This comes after the casting call for Avatar Kuruk, who also appears later in the show. How much has Netflix changed the original story? We will have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, in the comments, let us know your thoughts about the casting decision.
