Sydney Sweeney calls this Marvel co-star her “little nugget”

As fans anticipate Sweeney’s Marvel debut with Madame Web, the 25-year-old is enjoying her budding friendships with her co-stars. Among them is Isabela Merced, whom she encountered at a Venice Film Festival event. In Sweeney’s recent story posted to Instagram, Merced was seen grabbing a handful of fries as Sweeney explained she was “always feeding” her “little nugget.”

Besides Merced, Sweeney was also snapped with Maude Apatow whom she shared the screen in Euphoria. She also shared an image with another rising actress, Lili Reinhart. Together, these ladies stopped many in their tracks, and some from scrolling on their phones. 

Now fans hope that the genuine chemistry seen between the leading ladies of Madame Web will translate just as well on-screen. The flick is set to release in 2024 and even received a great update recently.

Madame Web is on track amidst SAG-AFTRA strikes

Last month, Sweeney was announced as the face of Spider-Woman in Marvel’s upcoming Madame Web, to much jubilation from her fans. But most fans wondered if the side-effects of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike would bleed onto the project and delay it like many others. Thankfully, this was not the case. In fact, its release was even moved up to coincide with Valentine’s Day! 

While the same cannot be said about Marvel’s Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds, for now, Marvel fanatics can rejoice at Madame Web’s progress. Who knows, Isabela Merced and Sydney Sweeney’s goofy antics might just make it into the movie and serve up some Deadpool-like comedy action!
