Long after 2019 brought a staggering haul of 10 comic book movies, 2024 will bring a slew of releases. Interestingly, four Marvel movies will compete head-to-head as the franchise will see its release span from February to November. Each bringing something new to the table, the battle between the heavyweights, in terms of the number of characters, comes down to two. Helming Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will tackle an ensemble headlined by Sydney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson with Madame Web.

Amid this incoming barrage, the underlying goal of both would be the same – to land the maximum impact on the audience. Remarkably, when pitted against each other and based on first looks alone, Deadpool 3 has earned itself a leading edge. Shy of even a trailer, the first-ever R-rated MCU flick looks well-established for one grand entry into the sacred timeline.

Sony has a major year ahead. Crafting its own live-action Marvel spiderverse, the Sydney Sweeney starrer stands at the pinnacle. Moreover, with a much-talked-about teaser trailer and a February release, Madame Web stands as a formidable project. Meanwhile, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Russel Crowe, have banded together to bring another anti-hero to the forefront with Kraven the Hunter.

Finally, with the second iteration of the Venom franchise already having linked itself with Spiderman: No Way Home, the task of minting numbers stands easier for the third one. All in all, three Sony productions would battle as well as stand beside Deadpool 3 as fans look to have already suited themselves with a preference.
