Just last month, it was revealed that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool 3 would be debuting its trailer during Super Bowl Sunday. While other trailers would also be shown, fans went into a frenzy over the potential Marvel/Super Bowl crossover. Now, with mere days left before the trailer makes its debut, fans have been taking to social media to share what they are hoping the trailer will have in store.
1. Channing Tatum as Gambit
Apart from just Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Deadpool 3, fans are also hoping that Channing Tatum could finally make a debut as Gambit. While the actor was working on a film with the same name along with Fox, it eventually ended up being pushed aside. With the 43-year-old ready to still pursue the role and IMDb adding him to the film’s cast, the prayers of fans might just be coming true.
So far, Reynolds himself has chosen not to reveal which characters and actors will be making an appearance in his upcoming movie. Thankfully, with only a few more days left before the trailer drops, the world might get the answers they have been waiting for. However, there is a possibility that the 47-year-old would like to keep his secrets hidden until July 26th, 2024.
Tatum might not make an appearance in the upcoming trailer this weekend. However, maybe their Wolverine dreams could come true.
2. Hugh Jackman in a complete Wolverine costume
Ever since there were rumors of Hugh Jackman being put in a comic-accurate version of the Wolverine suit, fans have been hoping to see it in all its glory. While a few blurry pictures have made their way online, thanks to leaks, the Super Bowl trailer could give the world their first close-up look at the iconic costume. Although everyone has seen the suit by now, fans think that it is time to debut to character’s fashionable mask.
Although Jackman has never worn it before, it is sure to give MCU fans a moment that they will never forget. Not only will it look majestic with his yellow and blue suit, but the mask could add an air of elegance to the character’s entire outfit. Thankfully, fans will not have to wait long before they get their first proper sneak peek at the film.
3. Dafne Keen making a comeback as Laura Kinney / X-23
In 2017’s Logan, Hugh Jackman’s character, Wolverine, was revealed to have a mutant daughter, Laura Kinney aka X-23. She was played by a Spanish-British actress named, Dafne Keen. With the actor’s character being brought back to life from death, fans are hoping that the trailer or even the film could have a small family reunion on screen after all this time.
While some people are just hoping to see the father-daughter mutant once more, others want to see the dynamic between the three stars in Deadpool 3. However, so far there has been no confirmation since Reynolds would like to keep the cameos a secret until the film finally releases in July this year.
Although fans might have to wait and see whether Keen will be making a comeback, there is another expectation that could just come true.
4. Loki, Mobius and the TVA
Back in December, pictures from the set of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 made their way online. The snaps had teased connections to the Disney+ series, Loki, and more. In the pictures, it looked like there was an actor on set who was dressed as a TVA agent from the Marvel series. With the series wrapped up and Tom Hiddleston retiring from the role, fans are hoping that the actor could make a comeback in the upcoming Shawn Levy film.
Hiddleston himself has sort of addressed the rumors. However, he has not confirmed it. After all, he has played the God of Mischief for so long that some of the character’s tricks could have rubbed off on the star. While the stars of the movie have not given fans any revelations, the trailer could finally end up giving Marvel fans the comeback that they have been hoping for.
5. A reunion with the former X-Men cast
Since the 2000s, the world has seen many X-Men films. With 13 films in the whole franchise, fans have seen many versions of the same characters like Charles Xavier and Magneto. However, with Hugh Jackman making a comeback as Wolverine, everyone is hoping to see the former OG X-Men cast. While Sir Patrick Stewart hinted at a potential phone call from his old co-star, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, and Anna Paquin have kept their lips sealed.

Although it might be epic to see the stars come back as Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Rogue, fans will have to wait until the Deadpool 3 trailer debuts at Super Bowl Sunday or even till the Merc with a Mouth’s project makes its way to theaters later this year. Thankfully, one thing has already been confirmed, and that is the fact the project will be a multitude of X-Men films.
