Continuing the tradition, the makers took away Eddie Munson’s character played by Joseph Quinn in Stranger Things season 4. Since then, fans have been flooding the internet with numerous theories and speculations regarding his return in the final installment of the sci-fi series.

The Luna Carmoon directorial debut, Hoard, has earned a whopping 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and received a great critical response. Despite the disappointing expectations from the fans, the film had a promising start. While talking to The Italian Reve, the 29-year-old revealed that he “had to put on a little bit of weight” for the role. The British actor further went on to credit the beauty of the movie to the “supreme trust” he had in his costar, Saura Lightfoot Leon, and considered himself “very lucky.”
Hoard is a drama that will make the audience uncomfortable with its complex portrayal of characters. As per the critical review of Screen International, “however uncomfortable it might turn out to be… It’s a demanding watch”. While talking about his character, Michael, the Overlord actor said, “We all enter into phases in our lives where we feel trapped”, and laid the importance of staying in the present. He also said living in the present “absolves you of the mistakes you made in the past” and helps to “not worry about the future.”
Talking about past, present, and future, Stranger Things season four’s time travel factor can pave the way for Eddie Munson’s return in Season 5.

It is not just fans who are praying for the Hellfire club leader to make a comeback in the franchise. The actor himself had a discussion with Joe Keery about a plot for his character’s return, reported by Radio Times. The Stranger Things stars wanted Eddie to appear intermittently in the series through Dustin’s imagination. This was the same way Billy, played by Dacre Montgomery, returned in Season 4 through Max’s imagination.
If the time travel theory has any truth to it, fans might have a realistic return of the character in the series. The time travel theory suggests that the rift created by the destruction of gates in the upside-down could make time travel possible. And if that happens, the Hawkins saviors might be able to travel back in time and prevent the Satanic Panic mob from ruining their mission, saving Max. This would ultimately also prevent Eddie Munson’s death, spreading joy far and wide.
