As Reynolds officially steps into Marvel as Deadpool, fans penned down a list of wishful collaborations. One that would surely never come true was that of Black Widow and Deadpool. Not only because they are parts of different phases but because it seemed like the actors still had bad blood between them following their divorce. However, Scarlett Johansson has turned the tables with her statement.

As Ryan Reynolds pushes boundaries not only in the Hollywood industry but also in business and sports, most of the world is rooting for him, even his ex-wife, Scarlett Johansson. The actress appeared on Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Goop podcast’ and discussed her marriages with the host. As Paltrow talks about Ryan Reynolds, Johansson says, “He’s a good guy,” about her ex-husband. This marks the first time in a while that the Lost In Transition actress has spoken of Reynolds since their divorce.

The two were married from 2008 to 2011 and remained very private about the marriage and the divorce.

This got the rumor mill running, and many concluded that Reynolds had cheated on Johansson with Blake Lively—his current wife. However, Johansson’s easy compliment debunks any bad blood between them.

Will Deadpool and Black Widow ever work together?

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson now both have Marvel movies adoring their filmographies. However, the two of them are so close yet so far as they are both a part of different phases of the superhero comic universe. Unless Marvel has a surprise up its sleeve, Deadpool and Black Widow will not be spotted on the same screen.

Outside Marvel, the two will definitely wreak havoc if they ever star in a romantic comedy movie. More than the fact that they were previously married, it is also the fact that both Reynolds and Johansson ruled the genre at one point in time. If the couple does really have no bad blood, it is only a matter of time before a director gets them on screen together.
