Owning a football team is not all fun and easy. No one knows it better than Ryan Reynolds, the owner of Wrexham AFC. The team has once again found its glorious peak after years thanks to the Canadian actor and his friend Rob McElhenney. Not only did they get popular, the team flew to American grounds after many years for a streak of friendly matches.

Two of the teams that they played against were Chelsea and Manchester. While it certainly helps boost their confidence, an injury of one of the key players has caused worry for the owners and their team.

Even friendly matches can cause injury and put a player out. The latest Wrexham player to get injured is Paul Mullin. Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter stating how the entire community is, “pulling for a speedy recovery.” He appreciated the footballer by admitting how he puts every drop of his blood into the match. People have seen the striker appear in the Welcome to Wrexham series and he is known for his ability to achieve goals.

His injury happened during the friendly match against Manchester United, with him getting a punctured lung. The player collided with the opposite team’s goalkeeper, Nathan Bishop. He was taken out on a stretcher and immediately hospitalized, instantly worrying his fans and the team. But Sam Dalby managed to score the third goal. All of their efforts proved fruitful as the team won against Manchester with a score of 3-1.

Jordan Tunnicliffe is already sitting out because of an injury that was sustained back in January. This kept him out of the matches against Chelsea and the LA Galaxy, although the team won the match against the latter. The back injury is not serious, but no set recovery period is announced yet.

Right now, the injuries are not a problem, but this will add pressure on the team once back home. The two players might be sitting out of the ELF League 2. It will be seen what strategy the team picks after losing these two players.
