As Ryan Reynolds reprises his iconic Deadpool role in Deadpool 3, he’s bringing Hugh Jackman along for the ride as Wolverine. After the two actors teased this on-screen reunion for years, it is finally happening in the upcoming flick. Deadpool 3, is expected to be another chimichanga-fueled, fourth-wall-breaking extravaganza from Marvel. For director Shawn Levy to pull this off, it is going to require a lot of nail-biting action sequences and plot twists.

Out of all the plot twists that fans had imagined would be a part of the upcoming movie, a revelation by Shawn Levy has proved that one can expect the unexpected with the movie owing to Ryan Reynolds being on board.

Shawn Levy discloses this about Ryan Reynolds

In a recent interview with Sirius XM shared to Youtube, Shawn Levy, who also hinted at delays in the movie last week, was asked about the dynamic between Wolverine and Deadpool and how the fight sequences panned out between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. To this, Levy replied that “both guys” would often set it up so the other wins a battle. Especially Reynolds, who Levy claimed was “amazing at wanting Deadpool,” to be the one that loses at every turn.  

The Canadian director explained that Reynolds feels so because, while “awesome”, Deadpool is a “deeply flawed character” while “Wolverine is Wolverine”. According to him, Reynolds “operates” from the audience’s perspective. If Wolverine winning over Deadpool is the most desired outcome for fans, then that is how the movie should go in the 46-year-old’s mind. Particularly because both actors are “extremely grounded” and such fans of each other!

Apart from hinting at what the upcoming fight sequences might look like, Levy addressed another rumor. This one had something to do with a Grammy-winning music maestro. 

Will Taylor Swift be in Deadpool 3?

With Hugh Jackman back in the mix as Wolverine next to the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool 3 was already among the most anticipated movies of 2023. So, when rumors of Taylor Swift also joining the cast surfaced, it was bound to cause a stir. In the interview, Levy also addressed these rumors in a rather cryptic way. Levy said that the majority of rumors on the internet may be false, but “some are not”. 

Well, the movie’s director did praise Taylor Swift recently though. Whether the rumor regarding Taylor Swift falls in the first or the second category, only time will tell. Besides her, various other characters like Loki and Sabertooth have also joined the list of possible cameos in Deadpool 3. If even a few of these rumors end up being true, the flick would still make for a wild ride!
