Ryan Reynolds Urges Fans to Stream ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ in ‘Game of Thrones’ Style
Over the years, Ryan Reynolds has become known for much more than just his acting career. The star even owns one of the oldest football teams in the world with fellow actor, Rob McElhenney. Now with two years with Wrexham and a documentary series under his belt, the actor urged his social media following to stream Welcome to Wrexham on Hulu and Disney+ in a rather nostalgic way.
With Christmas right around the corner, the 47-year-old ended up using a very famous line and more from the Game of Thrones franchise to garner attention around his sports documentary.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ryan Reynolds shared a trailer for his football series, Welcome to Wrexham. What ended up catching everyone’s attention was the fact that the video was set to the Game of Thrones theme song. In the clip, fans could see that he had also copied the same font and even the punchline, “Winter is coming,” in the caption.
While two seasons of the series are out already, The Adam Project star chose now to be the perfect time to try and promote it. Although it mainly follows the co-owners and their experiences and encounters with the team, the documentary has also given the world rare glimpses into the actor’s family life. In fact, during a recent episode that aired, Reynolds shared that he was not the only one in his family who was crazy about the team.
Even though the actor had previously opened up about his shared love for sports with his father, it looks like his children also inherited the sports fanatic gene.

Back in November, Ryan Reynolds opened up about his children’s obsession with Wrexham on an episode of Welcome to Wrexham. The now father of four said that his kids with Blake Lively had bonded with him over their love for the sport. He said, “My kids are obsessed with Wrexham.” However, with both their parents making constant appearances at matches, it is no surprise that they too have learned to appreciate the game.
While Lively and her husband are regularly seen supporting the team in the stands, the Deadpool 3 star ended up taking his daughters to a game recently, which was sure to have cemented her love. While the star may have had fears over being a girl dad, they can all be put to rest with his kids following in his footsteps.
