The ringing of the new year has kick-started a fresh new turn for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At the pinnacle of its priority list remains the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer Deadpool 3. Now, amping up and setting the tone for the same, Reynolds just took to his Instagram story to promote his freshest look yet on the Merc-with-a-Mouth, however this time through the post of a well-known Instagram account, Pubity. With the mask off, the new MCU suit radiated a bright tinge aura far more rich in hue than the Fox counterpart.

The update from Reynolds came not long after he replaced the display pictures on all his social media handles with the new look. While the entire photo which has him walking alongside director, Shawn Levy, the cropped-out version started to trend. Arguably the biggest Marvel release in years, the flick can make or break the entry of the mutants into the MCU.

In the meantime, a deeper look highlighted some more prominent changes in the suit. Replacing the majority of the maroon-red around the knees and below with the comic-accurate, rich red. Moreover, slight cosmetic updates to the gloves and the utility belt along with deeper blacks spoke of resplendence in simplicity. Finally, the nod from the Canadian actor signaled the start of promotions, despite Deadpool 3 still more than half a year away from its July 26 release date.

Looking at the official update, a flashback can only ponder at the thread of leaks that the star split to shreds by his sheer wit.

A few weeks down the line, Ryan Reynolds turned himself into the real-life version of his character by outclassing leakers using his characteristic humor. Tackling head-on, the 47-year-old spammed social media with spoofed images from Deadpool 3 sets. Amid his flood, the ones from the leakers got swept away, earning the flick of its saving grace.

On another side of the coin, a few rumors hinted at the lead landing to creative differences. Owing to the leaks, potential plot deviations being discussed reportedly brought Reynolds to retort to a pushback. Amid this division brewing, Disney CEO, Bob Iger, was also said to have considered letting the actor go. Fortunately, as of now, no concrete evidence has pointed in that direction, letting Deadpool 3 sail in safe waters.
