The world of Hollywood serves as an enormous bowl of opportunities that can turn over the fortunes of those who are keen enough to know where to look. A career that started in 1991 has now blossomed into one of the finest in the entertainment industry for the wisecracking Ryan Reynolds. The Canadian actor has helmed several tentpole franchises, characters, and movies that have left a lasting impact and serve as an inspiration for generations to come. While many would associate him with the superhero extravaganza of Deadpool, he has also forayed into several other genres, with romantic comedy being one of them.

Right at the cusp of Thanksgiving and coincidentally the 18th anniversary of one of his romantic comedies, the star revisited the memories.

In the nearly more than three decades of the Deadpool 3 star extending his chokehold on Hollywood, he has had the privilege of working with some of the industry’s finest. Moreover, many of his co-stars have taken up interesting roles in his life. While his 2011 DC flick, Green Lantern, earned him his beloved, Blake Lively, a previous one from 2009, gave fans the duo of him and Hugh Jackman. However, this Holiday season, the actor reunited with his 2005 heart-tugging Christmas comedy, Just Friends actress, Amy Smart. Yet, what looked to be a fun callback turned out to be a ‘plan’ for an advertisement for his Aviation Gin.

The plan involved them reading out a scene as if it were from the flick. Smart, although played along initially, soon realized something was off as she got the gist and hit at her co-star for coercing her into filming “a stupid ad for your gin company?” She quickly stormed off, still holding an empty Aviation Gin bottle before breaking it and Reynolds’ heart into pieces off the cameras. Aptly captioning it as “It’s a JUST FRIENDSgiving miracle!” the two actors evoked nostalgia for the simpler times.

The tables have turned! Ryan Reynolds for long teased and trolled Hugh Jackman. However, in the latest Deadpool 3 filming updates, the Australian actor towered over his Canadian counterpart. Mere days after the SAG-AFTRA green light, the Wolverine actor met director Shawn Levy in London as part of an “important production meeting”. The pair-up was inconspicuously devoid of Reynolds, who had recently promoted the latest character for the flick – Dogpool.

Jackman, soon after, took to share another post that detailed his signature mutton chops beard for Wolverine. Additionally, it came close on the heels of him, showcasing a superhero workout regime. While it seems that filming on the Marvel flick has already commenced, the Wolverine actor clearly has taken precedence. Regardless, the upcoming MCU extravaganza binds many contents together while standing a class apart.
