Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman might throw some shade at each other on social media, but their bond remains unwavering from their time working in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Both stars entertained fans with their ongoing fake feud that has been running for many years now. However, the frenemies are also the first to support each other when life throws curveballs. As Jackman tries to cope with the intricacies of his divorce, he has been seen spending a lot of time with his close pal, Reynolds. 

Reynolds turned 47 on Monday and many stars from the Tinseltown took to social media to wish him, including Jackman. The 55-year-old shared a heartfelt story for his Deadpool 3 co-star on Instagram.

Hugh Jackman shared an adorable picture on his Instagram story with Ryan Reynolds. Jackman also drew a heart around Reynolds’ face in the story, his way of saying he loves his friend. Additionally, the Logan star put the ‘Birthday’ song by American rapper Twista in the background. Two hours before wishing Reynolds on Instagram, Jackman shared the Deadpool 3 director’s story featuring the three Deadpool musketeers. 

Levy shared a heartfelt picture capturing a heartwarming moment between him, Reynolds, and Jackman, with all three of them hugging tightly. The executive producer of Stranger Things captioned the story saying, “Happy Birthday to the youngster in the middle”, pointing at the birthday boy, Reynolds. Jackman shared Levy’s story with a caption saying “true, but i still get to beat the shit out of him!”, keeping their faux feud alive. Fans have been tapping their feet for months to see this rivalry unfold on screen. 

As per recent updates, they might have to wait longer than expected to see both Reynolds and Jackman in the MCU. 

Is Deadpool 3 delaying further?

After a lot of production delays, Deadpool 3 finally got a release date of May 3rd, 2024. Many casting rumors and sneak peeks from the sets started to make fans believe that the movie was around the corner. However, the ongoing uprisings of SAG-AFTRA members might put a damper on fans’ expectations. Recently, a source confirmed to Deadline that the movie’s release would be moving further away from its previous scheduled date.  

As per the source, the movie would not resume its production until 2024, which could lead the MCU to push the release of the upcoming movie to July. The Ryan Reynolds starrer flick would fill the slot of another anticipated Marvel movie, Captain America: Brave New World, which had a release scheduled for 26th July. However, since the Captain America movie’s production is in better shape than Deadpool 3, MCU might release it in May.
