Back in 2011, Ryan Reynolds made his way to WonderCon to promote his Green Lantern film. He was there with his co-star and now wife, Blake Lively. While he was there to talk about his first-ever superhero flick, the 47-year-old ended up geeking out over his love for George Lucas’ creation. The actor told Popsugar TV that he “grew up a Star Wars kid.”
During the conversation, he went on to say that the space epic had “transported” him and made him want to be an actor. Ryan Reynolds also called Green Lantern, “the opportunity of a lifetime” as he felt like he had to bring to life a version of “Chuck Yeager and Han Solo.” While his feelings towards his film have changed over time, his love for Lucas’ franchise has not diminished in the least.
It might even be one of the common interests he shares with the director of his upcoming film. However, even though Ryan Reynolds’ love has stayed the same, Shawn Levy has taken it to a whole other level recently.
