Ryan Reynolds steps into a new year with Wrexham team 

Ryan Reynolds recently turned to X, formerly Twitter, and wished Happy New Year while tagging Wrexham AFC. The Canadian superstar shared the club’s post about renewing their player’s contracts, Paul Mullin and Elliot Lee’s. Not just for this year, but both will remain a part of the team until 2027. Well, there could have been no better news for Wrexham fans to start 2024 than finding out they will continue to watch these players on the grounds.

Mullin, aged 29, has been named Wrexham’s Player of the Season for two consecutive years and was honored as the FA Cup Golden Ball recipient in 2022/23. He scored his tenth goal of the 2023/24 season during Friday’s match against Walsall. Meanwhile, Lee has been leading the Red Dragons in goals this season, having scored 13 goals in 29 games across all competitions.

Since these two have joined forces with the Welsh club, they have been nothing but remarkable. While Reynolds shared his excitement with fans over the internet, both players have also opened up about this celebratory moment.

Paul Mullin and Elliot Lee are more than delighted 

On signing his new contract, Paul Mullin expressed his gratitude towards Wrexham AFC. The English footballer said he had loved every single moment he spent in this club. “It’s not just become my club, but my whole family also,” he added. According to him, playing in front of people who have shown faith in them and supported them has been the best and he would continue to make more such memories. 

As for Elliot Lee, he recalled the time when he joined the team and said there were high expectations, but he never knew they would come so far. He felt delighted that he got the chance to stay at Wrexham and represent the entire community with it. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have certainly brought this club to a new level of success.
